Ans. BPMA conducts the HND program in 4 phases of different durations in order to impart quality and experience to the seafarers. The details of the 4 phase training are :
- Phase 1 : The duration is 40 weeks and the training takes place at BPMA. In this phase :
- Academic training for HND qualification is given.
- And also STCW Basic training is given.
- Phase 2 : The duration is 36 weeks and the training takes place at South Tyneside College UK. Here academic training for HND qualification is provided.
- Phase 3 : The duration is 15 months and the training takes place in the sea, to impart practical seamanship to the students.
- Phase 4 : The duration is 17 weeks and the training takes place at South Tyneside College UK. This phase is an Advanced Sea Training Course.
