IIT Bhilai offers its needy and meritorious students an MCM (Means cum Merit) Scholarship, the institute also pays one part of interest of the Loan sanctioned by Vidya Laxmi Scheme of Government. The institute also offers scholarships to SC/ST candidates with a CGPA of 7.0 in their 1st year results. There is also provision of fellowship for Postgraduate students.
