Annamalai University has a distance education wing that offers UG, PG, PG Diploma, diploma and certification courses in the disciplines of arts, law, management, commerce, science etc. The UG courses admissions are merit based. For PG programs except M.Sc/M.A/M.Com, candidates must pass the university entrance test. In case of M.A, M.Sc and M.Com courses the score in the previous qualifying exam is taken into account.
