Diamond Harbour women’s University is the first kind of women’s university in West Bengal established in 2013. This University is affiliated with UGC and AIU. The college offers postgraduate and doctoral programs. The popular courses in this university are PhD and MPhil. For PhD, The selection will be done based on written exam RET.

And admission for the MPhil course is done based on a written exam. It provides courses related to only post-graduation. The candidates need to go through the system 10 + 2 + 3 for admission to this university.

A hostel facility with a capacity of hundred is presently under construction and will be made available to students enrolled in the master’s degree program and research in the forthcoming 2019 2020 session. At present, the university in collaboration with the state government of West Bengal provides hostel facilities to SC/ST and minority communities students. The hostel has a maximum capacity of 30 students which is provided on a first-come-first-serve basis.
