COVID-19 is not going to stop and everyone has accepted the new normal of social distancing, masks and sanitization. During the COVID-19 pandemic, conducting the JEE Main entrance is facing backlash from many students of India. However, many are supporting the decision of not postponing the exams further.
Now, the IIT Kharagpur Director, Mr Virendra Kumar Tewari, has also supported the government’s decision. He has stated that the entrance exams like JEE Main and JEE Advanced are very important for students to take admissions to top engineering colleges of India.
Accept The New Normal
He has asked students to trust the exam organising authorities who have worked very hard to ensure all the SOPs are followed at JEE Main Exam Centres.
Mr Tewari also said, “Important facilities are provided to the students at exam centres to ensure social distancing, hygiene protocols and even facilitation for probable asymptomatic cases.”

Everyone is aware of the issues that candidates are worried about. But he asked students to take this as a challenge and adapt to the new normal. It is obvious that there is no quick alternative to these entrance exams. And coming up with a vaccine will not guarantee safety if individuals.
JEE Main and JEE Advanced are scheduled to be conducted in September 2020. JEE Advanced scores are used to provide admissions to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
