Amid increasing pressure to postpone the CBSE exams for Class 10th and 12th, the Education Ministry decided to postpone the exams for Class 12th and cancel the board exams for Class 10th. CBSE’s offline exams were scheduled to begin on June 4, 2021. However, the Ministry has decided to postpone them in view of the increasing COVID-19 infections in the country.
Further, the Union Education Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, informed that the situation will be reviewed on June 1, 2021 and further decisions about Class 12th examinations will be taken. He also added that a minimum 15 days notice will be given before the start of the examinations. This delay in Class 12th Exams will also impact the dates of JEE Main 2021 and NEET 2021. The May session (Phase 4) of JEE Main 2021 might be postponed accordingly.
