BITSAT Eligibility Criteria 2021: Direct Admission, Qualification and Marks Requirements

According to the BITSAT Eligibility Criteria 2021, an applicant must have qualified Class 12th with a minimum of 75% in PCM or PCB and a minimum of 60% in all required subjects. Only students who will pass Class 12th in 2021 or who have passed Class 12th in 2020 are eligible to apply for BITSAT 2021. BITS Pilani was scheduled to be conducted from August 3 to 6, 2021.

Students should be aware that admission to BITS is solely based on merit. Candidates’ merit position is based on BITSAT Score. The basic eligibility for admission is having mandatory subjects, educational qualifications, minimum marks.

BITSAT Eligibility Criteria 2021

BITS Palani has established eligibility criteria based on the candidate’s academic background. All of the courses have different eligibility criteria. Candidates who completed their 12th grade in 2019 or before are ineligible for admission to BITS. Candidates who are already enrolled in a BITS programe are likewise unable to take the BITSAT 2021. The BITSAT subjects are listed below.

Age Limit Aspirants who have qualified 12th in 2020 or 2021
Qualifying Examination Candidates must have completed their 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology as subjects and have sufficient English skills.
Minimum Marks in Qualifying Exam For admission to the B.Tech program, candidates must have passed Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) in their 10+2 or equivalent exam. For admission to the B.Pharm program, students must have passed Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in their 10+2 or equivalent exam. Candidates with PCM, on the other hand, can apply to the Pharmacy program. To be considered, candidates must have a sufficient command of the English language.
Passing Status BITSAT 2021 will be open to those who are taking their 10+2 or equivalent exam in 2021 or who have completed their qualifying exam in 2020. If a candidate has attempted more than one 10+2 or comparable exam, only his or her most recent performance will be taken into account, provided that this attempt was for the entire component of subjects/courses required. Candidates who completed their 10+2 or equivalent exam in 2018 or before will not be eligible for the BITSAT eligibility requirements in 2021.
Number of Attempts An applicant is allowed two tries each year, according to the most recent qualifying requirements.

BITSAT Eligibility Criteria 2021: For B.E., M.Sc. (Tech) and M. Sc (Hons)

Candidates must have passed 12th exam from a recognized central or state board or its equivalent in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) with adequate proficiency in English

Qualifying Subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
Qualifying Marks a minimum aggregate of 75% marks in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry minimum of 60% in each of the above subjects individually

BITSAT Eligibility 2021: For B. Pharm (Hons.)

Candidates with Mathematics as one of their disciplines are eligible to apply for admission to the B. Pharm program.

Qualifying Exam Qualified class 12th examination from a recognized Central or State board.
Qualifying Subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology
Qualifying Marks a minimum aggregate of 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics subjects minimum of 60% in each of the above subjects individually
Age Limit Passed class 12th in 2020 or 2021

BITSAT Eligibility Criteria 2021: For Board Toppers

  • All students who receive first rank in their respective board examinations are assured admission to BITS Pilani.
  • Regardless of their BITSAT 2021 score, first rank candidates from all central and state exams in India for the year 2021 would be offered direct admission to the program of their choice.

BITSAT Eligibility Criteria 2021: For International Applicants

Applicants who have a passport and valid SAT results can apply for BITSAT 2021. The following are the eligibility criteria for foreign applicants:

  • International students must take the Grade 12 (qualifying) exam, as well as the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) and SAT subject examinations (in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics Level 2)
  • International applicants must request the college board to send their SAT results to BITS-Pilani (DI code: 7759–BITS Pilani).

Ques. What are the minimum qualifying marks for foreign applicants to be considered for BITSAT 2021?

Ans. When it comes to marks earned, international applicants must meet the same qualifying requirements as domestic applicants. According to Indian state/central board requirements, international applicants must have valid SAT scores equivalent to 75 per cent in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, and Maths (or Biology in the case of BPharm) and 60 per cent in each of these subjects.
