Asutosh College earlier known as South Suburban College is located on Mukherjee road in Kolkata. The college provides 28 subjects under Honors/Major/Vocational and Undergraduate

It has been accredited by NAAC where the college secured an A – Grade and a GPA of 3.22.

The college is ranked #2 in Kolkata under best science colleges by India Today.

At Under Graduate level the college provides BA[Major | Hons. | General], BSc.[Major | Hons. | General], BBA [Hons.], and B.Voc courses. At Post Graduate level the college provides MA (Hons.) and MSc. (Hons.) courses. Asutosh college also offers Diploma and Advance Diploma courses.

Recently the college has launched Add-on courses in Travel & Tourism, Industrial Chemistry, Hospital Waste Disposal Management. One can take up while pursuing a degree in Asutosh College or the University of Calcutta. Asutosh College has started distance education for M.A, MSc., M.Com courses.

The College office will contact the candidate for instruction to get admission in a new subject.
