JEE Main Exam Centers 2019: Check Here Complete List of Exam Centers

JEE Main Exam Center 2019: The complete list of JEE Main test cities will be published by CBSE as soon as the information brochure is released. Based on previous years’ data, JEE Main 2019 exam centers are spread in different cities across India and at 10 cities abroad.

The preferences have been restricted to the offline and online mode to 4 and 1 respectively. Once the application form is submitted, the preferences cannot be changed. The allotted JEE Main exam center will be mentioned in the admit card. Read on to know more about JEE Main Exam Center, Schedule and Instructions to be followed at the exam center.

Schedule of JEE Main 2019

JEE Main offline exam is scheduled tentatively for April 8 in 112 cities throughout India and abroad. Check the schedule of the offline mode exam below:

The dates are tentative and are subject to change. No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall after the time of last entry (i.e. 9.30 AM for Paper-1, 2.00 PM for Paper-2 and 2.30 PM for second shift of Paper-1).

  • Note: 1. CBT Exam for all international centers will be held on April 09 & 10, 2019 (tentative).
  • Note: 2. In case of increment in the number of students who have applied for test centers in Delhi, may be allocated any NCR location like Greator Noida, Noida, Faridabad & Gurgaon.

How to choose JEE Main Exam Centers?

Applicants who are applying for JEE Main 2019 must choose the exam centers as per the preference. The number of exam centers one can choose depends upon the mode of examination.

  • Case I: In case of pen-paper based test, a student can choose up to four centers.
  • Case II: In case of Computer based test (CBT), a student can choose only one test city.

If less than 30 students choose to take the test at the particular test centre then they will be allotted the last slot of last exam date in the same city.

At all the JEE Main exam cities, the question paper will be provided in both English and Hindi medium. Whilst the city for JEE Mains Centres chosen as Gujarat, Daman & Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli, the medium of question paper will be Hindi, English and Gujarati.

How could we change the JEE Main exam center?

You are advised to choose your test center with proper attention at the time of JEE Main application form. Centers once chosen will not be changed under any situation. In some exceptional cases, decision of Executive Director will be final.

Do’s and Don’ts at JEE Main Exam Center

  • Carry JEE Main Admit Card, Passport size Photograph and Post Card Size Photograph affixed on proforma
  • Before taking your seat make sure that you check your seat number. If you find things like paper or anything lying around, inform the invigilator.
  • Follow the instructions given by invigilator in the examination hall
  • Carry a Black/ Blue ball pen (only for Offline/ Pen and Paper Based exam)
  • Do not carry any paper or electronic device/gadget (like calculator, mobile phone, digital watch, etc.) else it will be treated as the case of “Unfair Means” and your exams will be cancelled
  • Avoid answering the question you are not sure about as negative marking is applicable in JEE Main 2019.
